Monday May 30 #

Note

Travel day Zurich to Uppsala. (Took the train from Neuchatel to Zurich yesterday afternoon).
In Arlanda went in for another Covid antigen test. They wanted to know if we had any symptoms or had taken a home test which came positive....we told them what they wanted to hear.
Judy was negative (although starting to feel ill), I tested positive.

Sunday May 29 #

Note
(sick)

Home tested positive for Covid 19 this morning.
Awoke in the middle of the night in sweat, and feeling much better.
A bit of jogging and stair climbing was fine. So although I now positevely have/had, Covid, I feel much better.
10 AM

paved running warm up/down 11:02 intensity: (2:45 @0) + (36 @1) + (1:05 @2) + (4:16 @3) + (23 @4) + (1:57 @5) 0.75 mi (14:43 / mi) +32m 13:01 / mi
ahr:116 max:164 (sick) shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR

To the start

orienteering race (Sprint) 15:47 intensity: (11 @0) + (1:38 @1) + (2:52 @2) + (11:06 @3) *** 2.0 km (7:54 / km)
ahr:114 max:135 14c (sick) shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR

In the center of Neuchatel. First few controls around the castle, which were the most technical, then onto the streets in the old section of town. Missed a turn to #2, so had to go back about 30 meters, then perhaps a poor route choice to 3 as I could not quickly figure out a route which was shorter..

Saturday May 28 #

11 AM

orienteering race 1:45:04 intensity: (32:49 @0) + (1:03:35 @1) + (3:09 @2) + (5:31 @3) *** 3.82 mi (27:30 / mi)
ahr:84 max:106 11c (sick) shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon

Not feeling good this morning, despite some lessennibg of symtoms.. Could only get HR to 90 before feeling woozy.

Friday May 27 #

10 AM

orienteering (3.1Km. middle) 44:54 intensity: (15 @0) + (19:04 @1) + (12:41 @2) + (12:54 @3) *** 2.16 mi (20:47 / mi)
ahr:101 max:120 14c (sick) shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon

Feeling much better today, and was pretty solid in the navigation. Still not fast, winner 13 minutes faster, but no falls (had a bloody one yesterday), and all the controls were where I was looking for them.1

Hiking/walking warm up/down 35:00 [1] 3.1 km (11:17 / km) +50m 10:27 / km

Had to mention the total of walk to arena (1.0Km.)from city bus stop, walk/jog to the start (2.1Km.)

Thursday May 26 #

11 AM

orienteering race 1:25:39 intensity: (15 @0) + (26:39 @1) + (14:06 @2) + (44:39 @3) ***** 4.03 mi (21:15 / mi) +70m 20:10 / mi
ahr:106 max:129 11c (sick) shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon

better going today, still rocky and slow, with slash underfoot. still not feeling motivated, large error on a pit in a thicket. Feel fine when running!
2nd Covid test negtive.

Wednesday May 25 #

7 PM

paved running warm up/down 13:45 intensity: (1:46 @0) + (5:01 @1) + (4:02 @2) + (2:56 @3) 0.77 mi (17:52 / mi) +32m 15:48 / mi
ahr:96 max:119 shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon

forgot my bag/number at the EC...

orienteering race 29:00 intensity: (2 @0) + (2:18 @1) + (5:51 @2) + (20:49 @3) *** 1.17 mi (24:47 / mi) +29m 23:02 / mi
ahr:114 max:134 10c (sick) shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon

Being careful not to get the HR too high, keeping it under 120. Incredibly thick, rocky, undergrowth terrain.
