Running warm up/down 24:00 [1] 3.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

warm up. Felt fine actually really good doing about 10 striders. did some sttetching also.

ran along great felt good and all of a sudden within 100m my right calf became really tight in one very small spot, so tight that I could no longer move my leg and when I stopped could barely walk. How fustrating. The rest of my legs feel great. Even a few hours later still very stiff in just one little spot. walking back to the car was a bit of a challenge and took well over 10 mins. OK to drive. no idea how fast I was going since I never even made it to the first mile marker.

range so busy had to wait to shoot. Shot OK prone and just OK standing. Started off well and went downhill from that point. shot 150 rounds total. The blowers were on so strong made the cardboard move around so maybe this accounted for some of the poor shooting. even with the leg issue felt very stable standing.

ran point to point. All the more time for a run befroe work. As I was going into the Metro a young homeless man was asking for money so I asked what he needed it for and he said, "Food." I asked him what he wanted and he said a hamburger at McDonald's. I said I would take him and let him buy what ever he wanted and now he had all kinds of excuses why he could not go,but it was fine if I just wanted to give him the cash.

Run went well switched training today since the weather will be better on Saturday to run faster. rained the entire time with temps in the mid 40's.

a nice winter evening to run. Felt good even with all of the lifting yesterday even on the couple of long hills.

Charged twice for the Jingle Bell Jog 10K. They will reimburse my money plus they said they would mail my prizes.

did a lot today in the gym. This time the left leg was noticeably weaker and at times the right shoulder. Feels fine when I run just here it is noticeable since I do isolated lifts. Did planks with 3 lbs, sideways jumps, lunges with weight, runner's, runner's drills, push the sled first with 120 pds twice next with 160 pds twice, overhead press, woodchops, pushups (20),

tried the two new air rifles both from Daisy. The fist one uses a pnuematic pump and it was so hard to recock could not even use it once. Someone else had to recock it so I could discharge the round. Too bad since I put the round throug the 10 ring. The second one the zero was not set so had to figure all of that out. Once it was zeroed very accurate able to put rounds through the same hole. Need to read the directions on how to change the trigger pull which is usually set at the max by the factory and in this case around 5 pds. Worked on shooting kneeling and this time able to sit much longer and shoot some rounds. Will have to be able to sit this way for 30 mins. The kneeling position in shooting is very unnatural, but being somewhat flexible only helps. The men who shoot suffer greatly when shooting this way. shot a lot standing just with a hard trigger pull this was only OK. The gun is also too light weighing about 3.5 pds will add weight to the max which is 7.5 pds and change the trigger pull to the minimum of 1.5 pds.

easy run. Plan to shoot air rifle Wednesday night since the two air rifles I am interested in purchasing arrived. The manufacturer will let me try both of them with no pressure to buy either one. They are still in the box so I will be the first to try both of them.

Jingle All the Way 10K on Haines Point.

Running race 42:13 [3] 10.0 km (4:13 / km)

ran about a 3.5 effort. Very cold morning after being in all of the warmth and sunny days. Had to wear a winter jacket to even warm up since I was so cold. race had 4200 finished 158th overall, 19th women and third master. Only seemed to have one speed. 5K in 20:48 and slower back since now it was very spread out so got stuck a lot fighting the wind alone. More speed workouts and a few long runs will certainily drop this time. Don't want to peak that soon anyways. Closet time to Win Persina another master runner that is top ranked. Second in age group just the two of us could not bear the cold any longer. Hopefully they will mail the gift certificate. Briefly ran beside the Mayor. Team finished third out of 49 just edging out the fourth place team by 20 seconds.

with all of the running around this past weekend motivated to go since I was on a team. they needed one women to finish for it to count. warmed up with my winter jacket on since I just left the warmth and I was really cold. Ended up keeping myself moving almost until the start just to stay warm. Some stretching. afterwards jogged again and quickly put all the clothes back on. this only helped so much since both of us were really cold again. took a REALLY long shower to finally heat up and napped. A little tired for the travel and work of the past week, but nearly was I was expecting.

zeroed prone and did some biathlon training. shot a lot standing intially only 505 and with the last 60 rounds shot 80% hitting a lot of 8, 9 and 10's. Had to shoot on the other side so a lot more noisy just the lighting is way better. Cleaned my gun afterwards and realized I let it get WAY to dirty before cleaining.
