another blood test!
IgE 2/13/15, 104.0 IU/mL
IgE 11/13/15, 106.0 IU/mL
IgE 1/30/17, 50.6 IU/mL
(range is 0-250 IU/mL, so these results are normal, meaning i was not in the middle of, or recovering from, a reaction when blood was drawn)
alpha-gal 2/13/15. 44.80 kU/L
alpha-gal 11/13/15, 34.00 kU/L
alpha-gal 1/30/17, 9.11 kU/L
(range is 0-0.35 kU/L)
we reviewed my reactions at Red Dog and POCAR and renewed Rx for epi-pen. doc said she would have used epi-pen at POCAR. glad that it responded to benadryl/pepcid.
so my alpha-gal result is much lower than before. a good sign. but still 26x higher than a "normal person". so a ways to go. no idea how that explains seemingly higher sensitivity w the recent episodes.
