'Tis the season for deer hunting with muzzle loading guns, so because I was on my own, I ran a big block of country roads - west to Duncan, south to 6th Sideroad and back up 10th Line toward home.
It was a good run other than the weirdly high heart rate on my Apple Watch. Not only did it not match my perceived effort, it rose a little above my max heart rate (or what I thought was my max) a number of times. Checking my wrist, my heart rate did seem fast but probably not *that* fast. I had more caffeine than usual this morning - maybe that was it? When we get home, I'll dig out my real HRM and try it for a while. It agreed pretty closely with my Apple Watch when I tested them but maybe the watch wasn't positioned properly today.
Aside from that, it was a quiet run on a rather bleak, misty day, running through constant puddles and a little slush. I went 5 km before the first car passed me, and there may have been 10 vehicles after that.
