12 hour version as team Vertically Challenged with Rich. It was hot, but the climb presented more of a challenge than the heat. Got off to a quick start which allowed us to add two controls to our plan. Unfortunately, we missed the first of our night controls and lacked the energy to go back and continue the search. The loss of those 50 points cost us several spots in the overall 12 hour standings.

Damage limited to one large blister on the bottom of the left foot. Time for new insoles.

Vernon rail trail with The Amigos. Everyone else was doing the usual 2-1/2 out and back. I turned back when we reached 1-1/2. Splits were 10:00, 9:45, 8:05.

Now off to the CNYO rogaine.

Did 8 x 400 aiming for 2 minutes with 1:00 to 1:30 rest between. Range from 1:53 to 2:01.

Portions of the Metacomet Trail in Meriden with the Meshomasic Hiking Club.
Hubbard Park to West Peak, to South Mountain, to East Peak and Castle Craig and back to start. Clear conditions with views to Long Island.

Rail trail from home to Bolton Notch - 7.9 mi.. Woods roads and single track to Risley Reservoir - 2.5 mi. Roads to home -2.4 mi.
