Two person relay at Perseverance.

Pretty easy, know the map back to front, but relay training is always valuable! Lost a couple of minutes on first control of second leg, but the map was completely wrong, needs a massive update - a huge rocky hilltop with boulders and cliffs was mapped with literally only two dots of rocky ground!

A short sunset run from home to get in a few more km's today. Kept it nice and flat after so many hills earlier

Running race 17:30 [3] 5.0 km (3:30 / km)

School XC Champs. Happy enough with 4th given current training. Was a close race though, maybe 5 secs behind 3rd and about 10secs behind 1st/2nd. SO HOT!! Dunno who's idea it was to run it at 2pm!!

Few drills to get warmed up. Feeling pretty lethargic, but that's what you get with a 2pm race!!

Short scatter event at Goomburra.
Pretty easy courses, but such a pleasure to run here, so nice and green at the moment!

Short course on the northern end of Goomburra.
A bit more climb on this course, no real route choice, pretty easy course. Only a small wobble on #3, came slightly too high in the vague flat gully. Again, awesome fun, not too hot either! Great to go for a swim in the river after too! Lovely day of orienteering, but its impossible to complain when you get a day off school to go orienteering!!

OY 2 - Shanty Gully (Course 1, 1:15000)

Great to be back in the bush again! Great map, had a really good time out there, wasn't very overgrown and the course was set in the really fast areas of the forest! Navigationally was fine, although the course wasn't really too hard. Not too many routechoices, either contouring or red-line. Only error was about 4mins at #5, poor compass bearing in the green, but looking at splits everyone lost time here. Shame I am not fitter, probably could've been closer to Simeon, was really a running course and my speed just wasn't at Simeon or Anna's level today. Was consistently a few seconds behind the others (except Tobias, who made a complete mess of the course!) on most splits. Only winning split was short leg to #4. But regardless, it was so good to be back!

Took advantage of the public holiday to squeeze in a slightly longer one. Would've done a few more km's, but it was getting up around 34 degrees by the time I'd done 10, so called it quits. Feeling good though! Ran to the ovals, then a loop on the single track along the creek and back home.

Just a cruise at sunset after a day of mostly maths study. Keen for the hols so I can do some proper training! Training has been really stunted with so much school stuff and volleyball this term, should be better next term with school XC training too!

Pretty Easy Head Clearing run after a frustrating day of volleyball. Wasn't expecting too much, but it was just nice to be out running. Loop around the creek and Kuhls Rd Ovals.

Been pretty slack with AP lately, its been crazy heckers, but I promise I have done (some) training!
