Note

Shoulder surgery on Wednesday. Bought a stationary recumbent bike to help keep fit during recovery for the next few months. Along with walking, I'm hoping I don't loose too much fitness by the fall.

GYB "Preview". Great day to be out. The Green's graciously allowed us to "preview" the course so we could get some good ideas of where we could position ourselves to shoot the race. We also won't complain about getting to do our own little AR without the pressure of actually racing it :)

Considering I haven't even looked at an O map since the Lucky 21 last September I'm surprised I even remembered how to read it! Started out like a total newbie, but warmed up after a bit.

3 rounds of "The Bowl" on Dhu Varren road to shock my quads into submission since we ended up not doing the Amish Country Roubaix yesterday. Pretty sure I had my fastest time up Dhu Varren hill westbound, but of course I had my garmin on "Indoor" trainer still from yesterday :( In the meantime Middy get's to claim Strava QOM on Dhu Varren westbound and the full bowl going west. Rock on sister!

Taper time for the rest of the week. Barry-Roubaix on Saturday.

Raced in the mixed gender Single Speed category. Not quite the race we had hoped for, but didn't do too poorly. Windy, and then snow really picked up the last 8 miles or so.

Note: Fun and interesting terrain. Raced in the same general area of the 10 hr Epic AR we did last fall. Recognized a couple locations.
