Beautiful day, but I wasn't really feeling it as evidenced by the fact that it took until 3 before I left the house. I wanted to check out my Lockdown paddle take out and then just keep riding for at least 2 hours.
MCT Watershed -> turn onto a couple different roads to get to the creek bridges, then back to the trail. Saw a road I'd never ridden, so turned off the trail to ride that road (one of my "Corona-cation" goals is to trace every street in town onto my strava heat map), then back to the trail.
Had planned to ride down Wanda Rd back to SIUE but then decided to ride to the river and ride the Confluence Trail along the levee. Lovely refinery scenery on the way. Planned to ride the CT until New Poag and then back to SIUE but then decided to keep riding to the Chain of Rocks bridge. Ended up crossing that, then retracing my steps and coming home through Granite.
A lot of my recent rides have felt more like work since I wasn't in places or with people I wanted to see, but this one felt more like fun exploring, even though I'd been almost everywhere I'd ridden before.
