Trail running (Lewis & Clark) 1:51:43 [3] 8.2 mi (13:37 / mi) +889ft 12:21 / mi
ahr:133 max:179 rhr:49 slept:8.25 shoes: Brooks Cascadia 10

Ran Lewis trail with Chuck. Bob ran with us to the overlook, Mickey was ahead, Lori took Breezy on Clark. Started in light but steady rain which transitioned to gigantic snowflakes as we ran. So fun to be out in the snow as it settled on the trees and ground. Magical. Easy pace, fun morning. Still way more walking than I used to have to do.

Unplanned rest day. Was changing clothes to go to the gym when my son, who lives in Portland, showed up at our door for a surprise visit! :)

Biking (BW + cemetery trail) 2:13:17 [3] 23.0 mi (10.4 mph) +1224ft
ahr:98 max:157 rhr:52 slept:6.5 shoes: Airborne Delta CX

Chill ride with Chuck, Bob, Mickey, and Steve F. Tooled around Busch then across 94 and down the cemetery trail to show Mickey the fire ring.

I felt way stronger on hills. On Wed. I was struggling up the same ones I felt like I was cruising up today. Snuck between Mickey and Chuck on one of the steeper hills and almost beat Mickey to the top. I can't maintain sprint power long enough to hold off somebody else...yet.

Super fun day. Started chilly, about 30*. Since I got sweaty with a jersey and fleece under wind jacket on Wed. I tried thin base layer, slightly thicker base layer, and jersey under wind jacket. I think I could have gone without one of the shirts. Lined Polar tec tights were a little overkill, but my regular ones were dirty. Thin icebreaker socks with thicker C9 socks under Fasterkatts kept my feet toasty.
