what does that stand for?
Doesn't
dO
Anything ;)
I've gotta say, Jay's log just isn't as interesting these days when he forgets his paddle on the way to Hemlock Lake and doesn't post any Garmin tracks...
I Just can't stand by... Dead On Arrival
Oh, you're no fun at all. Took me awhile to think of an alternative.
I've lost the reference, but I recall a book where the printer somehow dropped the e off of "hope", and religion morphed into the faith of "hop" and while the people didn't quite understand it, they followed it...
I'm planning a site for "bastardized sayings" where people use things quite unaware of the actual phrase... 'bare with me'...
Ang gets a pass, she doesn't have a TV. On a side note, the deceased Garmin actually just had a completely discharged battery and appears to be fine so readers worldwide (ok, maybe just Bash) can expect the level of 'interesting' to return to its previous heights.
Phew, that's a relief - and maybe get yourself a paddle leash too. A dead battery? I could make a comment about engineers who aren't from the University of Waterloo but it would be too easy.
I saw the phrase "bare with me" used recently and resisted responding with what I thought would be a very clever comment since it would no doubt be misunderstood (in the worst way!)
Well normally with a dead battery it will respond when I put it back on the charger with a floating note 'Charging battery'. It didn't do anything the other night, hence the DOA tag. Besides, I'm a ME, not an EE...
Yeah, I know... but I studied structural design so I'm not accepting your excuse.
It's good to know they can come back from the dead.
