Rest days must be bad for you.

Out to rehab area then back through Strettle reserve. Felt a bit tired all the way but didn't notice any tightness in the calves from yesterday.

Not sure I'll have time for a run tomorrow and I still had my running gear on from the morning run when it was time to head to the metro for a bbq so I decided I might as well have a run. Probably not the smartest thing to do but smart training has never been my strength.
Took the obvious route to the north first along with just about everybody else. Got 9 at the end instead of the start but apart from that took Simmo's optimal route and cut a few corners to come in about 200m under his distance.
Felt pretty tired again, can't think why, but probably a little better than in the morning. Only about 2 minutes off the pace in the end so judging by my running speed I'd say my route must have been pretty good. A few little flutters from the heart but only brief so didn't really affect me.

Little Possums loop via Martin Rd. Didn't really intend to go that far and felt really tired early on but by the time I was making decisions about where to turn I was feeling good so decided to keep going. Calves started to tighten up after about an hour so I had to push the pace a bit on the way back from there to distract myself.

5k loop. Heart started playing up when I was woken up by Rachel's phone ringing at 1:30am and I never really got back to sleep so I was very tired when I got up. Decided to attempt a bit of a jog hoping it would fix me up but started out with a long stretch of walking and included lots of short walks later. Feeling ok now.

Rehab loop. Mentally wanted to run fast today (even put the race shoes on) but physically wasn't up to it. Realised pretty quickly that it wasn't going to happen today and tried to back off but only lasted a minute or so before I was pushing the pace again. Did at least feel somewhat better by the end and got under 5min/km for the first time in the comeback.

Easy 5k loop with frequent walk breaks plus a few drills and strides. Feeling tired early but good doing the drills and strides. Heart still all good.
