A very solid run. It was nice to have learnt from yesterday and bounce back pretty quickly. Figured I just needed stay in contact with the map more. It was easier with the 1:10000 map though. I guess I just needed to be a bit more purposeful and stop. Anyway, no mistakes today and a pretty good run. Almost caught GG but I think I made a couple route choice errors at the end, should have stayed clear of the green at the end.

Its been a while since I've lost as much time in a race as this. I just don't think I was prepared for the type of challenge that the first forest posed. Had a great run after #5 though. I think the problem on #2 was that I tried to oversimplify. I never found the indistinct path and then made things fit. I wasn't far off the control but didn't have any confidence. Took me too long to relocate though. I think I then lost my head a bit for the next few controls. Eventually gained focus again though and I was pretty happy with the rest of it.

Couldn't have gone much better really. I ran a clean race and then got the most significant route choice right I think. Really happy with this because I think it shows the effort I've put in worked.
