Parked at the south lot on 6th line and ran the blue side trail north and then east. Took the Vanderleck sidetrail (blue) and ended up in Speyside. Figured it would be faster to run home than back to the car (as I needed to get home so the Mrs. could go for a run). It was a long boring run along 25 and it was further than I thought (but mostly downhill). Felt pretty good but now the hips and legs are tightening up. And even with the rain and the wind, it was still a nice day to be out and see the trilliums blooming.

Intervals at the track with SM and company. It has been a while since I have done an intervals workout but felt pretty good (although I seemed slower than I remember!).

Felt awful for the first 15-20 minutes but then felt pretty good and had a nice run in the dark around Milton.

The day started out a little cool and the sky was threating rain however the rain held off, the sun came out and it was a great day for a bike race. Started in the 3rd wave (should have registered earlier)! There was lots of room in the beginning; too much room. There was a small group that took off fast which I couldn't get on to, so I ended up with a group of 2...therefore I did alot of work on the first rail trail. Then by the time we got to the single track, we ended up catching the back of the second wave so most of it was very slow. Although it did allow to catch my breath and rest which may have paid off later in the race.
The rest of the race went well. I did think I was getting taller throughout the race however I was sad to learn that my seat was slowing getting lower (it is always good to ride the bike before a race, after I put it back together) but I was able to fix it quickly.
Ended the race well and was able to pass some people on the last hill which is always fun. Another great P-to-A.

Raid the Rib with Dee and Aud (Mightly Mouse/Pitbull/Audball)
It was a great day and the race went pretty well for us. It had been a while since I had navigated and could have been a little cleaner; we probably walked within 5 meters of 2 CPs without seeing them (one I blame on Phattys team!) In the end, the ladies weren't too disappointed with my lack of skills (navigation that is) and we finished the race in good form (or at least we didn't fall in the river at the finish line!) The post race festivities were also good (maybe too good!)
