In LA helping sis @laurenmac move, got to spend some time in Griffith Park near Dodger's Stadium. Pretty neat park! I saw 2 x coyotes & 3 x red tail hawks. One of the hawks went into full dive-and-scream attack mode, but the finale was behind the hill.

Nice to be in sunny LA for a few days, particularly after winter rains have started up the spring and some nice green. And snow on the mountains to the SE, too.

Red eye tonight and straight to work! :)

Good temp for January, dreary though.

Something really weird happened on my track there (mile 4.571 > 7.067 or so), pace-wise. Funky. I don't think I was ever doing a 2:24 pace. :)

First cemetery run in a while. Very hard to get out at lunch these days. Glad I did, it was nice once I got going. Old shoes! Old watch! My new HR strap works with the old watch, which is cool. Found my new watch strap, but ... my old watch is great!

Perfect temps for some hills. A good bit of climb: 1900' or so.

Tried to focus on consistency, with only moderate success. That (and continued time extension) will be my goal for these going forward. Ran in my NB RC1400 v4s, which I thought would feel treacherous but didn't, which is nice as they are so darned light (actual 7.75oz!) and comfortable. Amazing what a pair of light street shoes can do on pretty rough trail when it's dry. They're on sale right now at runningwarehouse.com, too ...
