Run warm up/down 23:51 [2]
shoes: Retired nike Air Pegasus

Yellow course with Hols at the club champs.
She's picking up well on setting the map & going the right way. Not map reading exactly, but she'd be happy to run on a rough bearing to every control!!

Orienteering race (Club Champs) 1:07:39 [4]
(injured) shoes: vj's

Ankle felt OK, but could feel it, so didn't push over-hard, especially in terrain. Legs felt surprisingly OK & I ran more of the hills than I thought I would.
Club champion!
Kerina's been training!
Will be good to race against a full strength field when Heather & Jo are fit again & Rachael can make it...

Treatment (massage) 30:00 [3]
(injured)

Fantastic massage done with style & panache & left me feeling as tho' I was floating down the stairs!!
Calves & hamstrings. Rt soleus the tightest. Ankle has to be ligamentous (Nicky agrees with arse-face & I agree with them both), but nearly better - caught myself running up the steps into the house at lunchtime. More ice & rest over the next 48 hours or so & I should be fine for the club champs on Sunday (especially as Rachel F-R isn't coming any more so I won't need to push it too hard).

Note
(injured)

The niggle has persisted & been quite painful, so no intervals tonight. Self-diagnosed flexor digitorum longus tendonitis from walking in heavy snow boots yesterday afternoon. Have been icing & it feels better. Will only run tomorrow if it doesn't hurt at all. Good job I'm seeing Nicky on Friday!.

On a separate note for Craney, have discussed stuff with Neil without him getting offended & I think there could be a big job in a short while for interested parties...still to go to committee, but lots of backing from individuals at the moment.

Run 47:01 [3]
shoes: Adidas Response Light

Couldn't resist a gentle leg stretch in the snow & -6ish degrees!! Tonight's a bleep test & my legs are in no state for that, so a picturesque run it was. Signs all oer the Shugborough side of Satnall Hills & fence gaps filled stopping people going in, & there was a nasty orange sign on Brocton Coppice asking for dogs to be kept on leads (yey - it's a by-law, anyway!!) & people to stay on major paths until further notice :0( Unfortunately I approached that sign from the terrain behind it...hope it gets soted soon & doesn't spread/become more restrictive.

Stretching 20:00 [3]

Sat out of the bleep test - tired legs compounded by a foot/ankle niggle after walking up to school & back in snow boots to collect Hols. Did take stretching for everyone after, though - stretched everything really well & feel much better for it.
