Went up to Burbage with Carol. Ran from Ladt Canning SW and down the ridge before crossing the A6187. Ran along Burbage Brook before heading up to Suprise View. Round the bottom of the crags then up onto Hathersage Moor. Over Winyards Nick, Carl Wark and Higger Tor, up to Burbage bridge before running back across the moor to Lady Canning via a very wet and boggy sheep track! Maybe more of a 2 for intensity but felt i deserved the 3 for getting out today after a few beers last night!

I couldn't stretch to the top shelf in the cupboard for the weetabix this morning...torso and upper body definately feeling those circuits! Night O training on Burbage Mines planned by Marcus. Was the most fun i've had with an orienteering map in a while! Mass start, gaffled course, small area but quite technical...even more so in the dark! Really good fun but i found it impossible to move with any speed without losing contact with the map! Will try running the course again in daylight sometime!

Went to ShUOC circuits with Marcus and Carol, some exercises i've not done in a very long time! I've just realised how weak i actually am, will certainly feel a few muscles in the morning.

Lovely day at Stoodley Pike, first time on the area and really enjoyed it. Legs felt pretty tired from the start and it all seemed like very hard work. Slightly inverted my ankle on the way to control 9 (waiting on a wobble board so i can start strengthening it!). Couple of mistakes but nothing major by my standards, went too high to control 13 and just mis read the ground at 19. Good course, although the last loop back up to 22/23/24 felt like it was going to be too much at one point! Enjoyed the run from there to the finish though, look forward to going back there!
