Orienteering 5:45:00 [3] 27.5 km (12:33 / km)

That was fantastic! CTS with Tim.
I have a (newish) policy that if anyone asks me to do something fun, never say no (if it's possible).
The calf held up for about 35mins of alternating waliking/jogging, but as soon as I tried to refold my map on the on the run, I stumbled, landed heavily on the offending leg and running was over for the rest of the race.
This may have ended up being a blessing in disguise as I was able to manage a swift walk for the full 6 hours vs the cramp blowup after 2 hours like the SSR.
We only made 2 mistakes - missing the trail juntion just south of the dam crossing and ended up at #69 vs #31, but we just reassed our route and kept going.
Second was dumb dumb here losing the passport between 66 and 33 and having to retrace our steps. As luck would have, we came across the Collingwood Cougars after a couple minutes who had picked it up - turned out it was barely more than more than 5 mins lost.
Tim's nav was stellar, particularly on the compass - all I did was follow along reading the features and making sure we stayed on course. Our section through 52-41-53-54-61 felt super smooth (and what phenomenal terrain, the whole time I was picturing how the map will look if when it's mapped as ISOM)
Took a little to relearn the LIDAR mapping, but once it clicked it was amazing how easy it was to stay in touch. The bare rock yellow blobs seemed very easy to see in the distance and the marshes/green blobs seemed very accurate, even given the additional water on the ground from all the recent rainfall.
Tim was 100% the MVP of the team - his skill in course planning and adjusting on the fly is the only reason we ended up with the score we got.

Huge KUDOS to Mike, Starr, Will and Katta (and their legion of volunteers). Fantasic day, can't wait for the next.

All the problematic body parts felt great. No complaints.

CF 25:00 [3]

Seeding workout for a team comp I'm doing weekend after this.
Kinda phoned it in - had 2 nights in a row of poor sleep and wasn't really feeling it.
