Oof. Thursday's PoPaP has done a number of my calves. I was half expecting to have to turn back after 10 minutes of todays smt, but the lumpy, slow going running conditions actually helped.
Any sort of extended up and down hurt, but happy to be out.

TNT. Since everything was a slush fest, it was finally time for a Pyramid of Puke and Pain.
Probably the toughest stair session I've done. It's gonna hurt tomorrow.
Great crew out as well.

Testing out a new possible TNT session before ARX, interspersed with flag putting out. Horrible conditions, fell on some ice and ended submerged in a slush puddle.
Not wanting to turn into an icicle, put out the rest of the flags and headed back. Very glad to have had the foresight to bring a change of clothes. 2 hours soaked to the skin wouldn't have been the funnest.

Running round Homer Watson park checking out the forest for this seasons ARK in KW. Nice sweet open forest - well it is at the moment, you never really know what spring will bring :) Lots of soft snow.

Borers Blitz with the Boyz
Felt 100% better compared to yesterday, starting to think I didn't eat enough after smt. Just scraped with the last half hour of daylight, fun trail conditions - especially in the soft snow below the escarpment, 'warm' enough for shorts and great views over the Hammer and Dundas. Sweet as sprint finish when Dr. PBV pulled a sneaky short cut.
Also concludes my first full week of running since before Christmas. Some might call it a record. A 55km week isn't anything to write home about, but considering the amount of snow running it involved things are finally looking up.

O-Cup #5. UKR style - tough one for the 0 handicapped.
Just not my day today, it was hard work all round and my body was having none of it - no oomph. Actually felt like the plague was still having some effect. Also had a bit of trouble reading the map symbole, shrunk to 1:15000 from 1:10000 - particularly differentiating north lines and trails.
Didn't help the matter with some bad box choices and a terrible detour in deep snow from M to N.
Stoked for Noah taking his first win and gaining an unbeatable lead in the junior comp. Also proud of Dr. Chewy for finishing the course with only a small attractor loop error (by her standards), just a shame the course was so long she was over time.
