Section between Silver Bay and Hwy 1. Very soggy after the intense rains, one washed out bridge, lots of mud, tough to find a relatively dry camp site.
Again, the tent performed marvelously, another misty but totally calm day. Hiked out, loaded up with junk food at Finland, headed to Fitgers for burgers, fores and brewskis. Soggy but fun weekend. The rain seemed to stop when we wanted to hike, and rained most of the rest of the time. Couldn't have worked out better. T had a great time (and set a brutal pace too)!
Windy, misty, about 50F. Perfect. Tent worked great stayed totally dry all night despite pouring rain. Made it to our next camp site way faster than expected. Pitched tent, made dinner, and as if on que, started raining again. Holed up in the tent, played cards, read...it seemed to rain lightly most of the night.
Pouring rain, stopped just when we stopped the car and started to put on ponchos. Made it to camp site barely before dark. Pitched tent, made dinner, and just when we were ready to head to bed it started pouring. Rained all night, huge thunderstorm.
