Paddling (Bow seat with DARTvg) 2:59:05 [3]

Sa-weet sit-on-top paddle with the team. DARTvg and I got to know each other by singing some sweet 80s rock tunes and swapping stories of debauchery.
10 AM

Running 1:34:42 [3]

Ran the Dipsea trail with the Cali boyz. I'd heard about Dipsea before, and it was super cool to actually experience it in it's semi-urban splendor. We ran up stairs, on single track, cruised down switchbacky slopes, and party rocked atop a beautiful view looking down on Stinson Beach. You definitely don't see ocean blue waves crashing on white beaches in Canmore!

3 PM

Running 2:39:52 [3]

Willow, Coastal, Ben Johnson, Dipsea. Not that I know where any of this is, but that's what T Devil wrote.

We ran through the spectacular Muir woods and checked out the giant redwoods.

BEST PART OF THE DAY: Actual real for sure Bobkitten sighting!!! Made me feel at home.

Paddling (Tandem) 1:24:16 [3] 11.19 km (7:32 / km)

Lovely paddle from T Dev's Sugar Momma's place up some sort of channel where we dodged big boats, scooted under catamarans, and gawked at Star Wars AT-ATs.

T Dev was great in the stern and only whacked me with his paddle 17 times.

Oh yeah, and there were some cool birds too.

In regular T Devy style he wanted to make some last-minute add-ons to our paddle. My ice cream craving won out. He'll soon learn...

Running 40:00 [3]
slept:7.5

A little warmup with SI.

Paddling (Arluk) 1:30:00 [3]

First paddle in the loaner boat! Nice to be up in the mountains, and on a boat - yeah! Strong SE wind coming out of the gap made the return paddle kinda tough.

Cycling 5:37:00 [3] 172.0 km (1:58 / km)

Avg: 30.5km/hr. Mega ride today with a strong group of ladies. Alicia and Suzy and I left from Ascent and rode out to Fireside to meet up with Yvette, Anne, Katie, and Nicole. Coach Alicia kept us on our toes with drafting drills as we enjoyed the yellow aspens and larches along the sunny 1A out to Lake Louise. A short stop at Laggans for a slice and a coffee and we were back on our bikes for the return trip back to Canmore. Winds were sort of variable, but we definitely enjoyed a bit at our backs on the home stretch. Time for an ice bath.

Note
slept:3.0

I should probably note here that this training day was excellent prep for Tas. I only had 3hrs of sleep last night after a solid few hours of sweaty party rock dancing at the Aurora for Libby's bachelorette: quads and calves were pumping it out on the dancefloor...maybe a little lat action in there too. I think this probably counts as training, somehow.
