Proud of myself for getting out today after a morning visiting the fantastic Compton Verney - an art gallery with special treasures hunts for kits, beautiful grounds, a great cafe and an adventure playground. Strong recommend. The watch wanted some super short fast reps, and I tried. My legs finally got to the right turnover rate by the last rep - it's been quite a while since I tried to run sprint speed! Lovely sunny afternoon but still very cold. I very much want it to warm up now.

Some reps around Pamplona. I had a morning to myself after yesterday's viva. The morning started gloriously sunny but very cold for Pamplona - 2 degrees C and frost in the shade!
The city has a fantastic active travel network and I used the cycle ways for some reps. Legs struggled to get up to speed, but it'd been a while, so not too worried. Finished off in the old town - it really is a very nice place. I'm sad that I missed out on some warm weather though! I feel cursed at the moment!

Sneaking in a run before examining a Viva at Pamplona University. I said yes to doing this before figuring out what a massive pain it is to get to Pamplona, two flights, which I'm still annoyed with myself about. I won't do that again - check travel before saying yes! Trains only from now on to vivas.
It was a bit damp this morning and the locals clearly thought I was a bit nuts, but I strung together a route through a few of the lovely parks. The tulips were out in full force, and everything was so green compared to back at home. Felt pretty stiff and rumbly after yesterday's travel and a late night with the scientists who invited me the night before, but nice to explore before a day of academic responsibilities!
