Running 27:00 [3] 4.6 km (5:52 / km) +45m 5:36 / km
shoes: Adidas Supernova Cushion 7

Dropped Ewan off to childcare (it's still hard to leave) and then did an easy lap of Yeronga Park and headed home. Legs a bit tired and stomach feeling off so I wasn't feeling too keen.

Running 1:08:00 [3] 12.3 km (5:32 / km) +100m 5:19 / km
shoes: Asics DS Trainer 13

I dropped Ewan off for his first day at childcare (it was difficult to say goodbye) and then headed off on a longish loop down to the corso, under the green bridge and up the hill to Annerley Rd, down and across the green bridge, around UQ a bit, and then home via the corso again. Felt alright today, calves tightened near the end, but also put in a good 1km surge through Yeronga. It was pretty hot as I was finishing around 9.15.

Running w/baby 15:00 [3] 2.5 km (6:00 / km) +30m 5:40 / km
shoes: Adidas Supernova Cushion 7

Picked Ewan up from childcare. He looked happy enough until he saw me, then he burst into tears and needed a hug. Poor little guy.

Cycling 55:00 [4] 15.0 km (16.4 kph) +115m

From home to QUT/Botanic Gardens and back. Lost my way a little near South Bank on the way out.

Orienteering race 17:25 [5] *** 3.1 km (5:37 / km) +30m 5:22 / km
spiked:19/21c shoes: Asics DS Trainer 13

Cyclones sprint at QUT/Botanic Gardens. Didn't really prepare myself mentally for a full-on race and consequently wasn't quite as sharp or smooth as I should have been. Started slowly with a little trouble locating the start on the map, then at the 2nd control I couldn't find the dinky little board they use for flags up here and lost about 35s, a mistake I repeated twice more for about 1:45 lost. Otherwise ran okay but probably could have pushed a little harder in last 1/3 of the race. Would have run a similar time to Olly without the flag errors but we were all flogged by Simon.
