Biking (Hawk Point) 5:36:04 [3] 73.0 mi (13.0 mph) +3084ft
ahr:141 max:166 shoes: 2019 Salsa Fargo

Gravel with Mickey. We moved the saddle slightly up and slightly back. The hoods felt considerably more usable than at 24HOC. I hurt my back lifting a cabinet at work, so it's hard to judge how the changes impacted on the bike comfort. I'll wait until the back thing resolves to make any more changes.

Nice route with a mix of gravel conditions. The bike did great and climbed great. First 30 miles felt really good, then about ten miles after our mile-40 stop were good. Otherwise it was a pretty suffer-y day for me.

Riding gravel with the thurs night group. Riding chucks cutthroat on gravel tires part of the time made me thankful for the bigger tires on my Fargo.

For all the aches I had during loop 2, I really felt decent during this loop. Basically went out and just rode the miles. I definitely had the hearing to climb anything, but if I didn’t want to I just went ahead and walked. Actually, more walking probably helped with feeling better, as did the cooler night temps. Saw one other rider the whole time, raced a storm to the finish. Tried telling myself this loop should be easy since now 63 miles was my long ride; myself was unconvinced.
