Matson -> Hermann. First time I've done this ride when I wasn't coming off a 4-month post-DK hiatus. Quite a difference! Cool and virtually no breeze. Guys pushed the pace and I could keep up. Nice to have to slow back down to the advertised 15 mph pace for someone else's benefit instead of mine. :)

Hermann -> Matson. Legs significantly less excited about pedaling and the fact that the guys were at 17 mph for the first few miles. Luckily before they fell off Scott's foot started bothering him and I stopped to give him ibuprofen. Unluckily, the group kept speeding along and I had a mile of chasing to catch back on. Pace slowed quite a bit with Scott's foot prob. Slightly breezier, so drafting was a nice assist.

SIUE with my cousin Bob. I've got him on endurance, but he's a better rider. Chased him around, usually not quite close enough to follow his lines. Overall pretty good ride and several PRs. Still haven't vanquished all of 2013 Kate's PRs, though, so I know what I'm doing on Sunday.

Big group, and more women than men. That's rare. Mostly noodling around BW with a few sprint efforts chasing Kevin. Fun to work hard for a little bit.

Lovely morning. Chill ride, just ambling around. Stopped a few times for pictures because it was so pretty. Definitely better than sleeping in, especially because my family is watching football now and I'm going to take a nap. :)
