Biking 1:29:00 [3] 20.6 mi (13.9 mph)

Rode MTb with cross tires on road. Basically a commute ride + time in the saddle. Felt ok.

Trail running 2:37:00 [3] 12.25 mi (12:49 / mi)
shoes: Asics trail attack 6

Felt slow, last 3.5 miles were pretty terrible.

Biking long 3:20:00 [1] 39.0 mi (11.7 mph)

Rode to Alton to volunteer at cx registration and back again later. Any thoughts of actually racing were disposed of by how badly just riding sucked. I guess when you only ride once a month or so you can't expect to be comfortable in the saddle, huh? On the plus side, it was a gorgeous day and I got to see lots of cool people.

Running 18:34 [3] 2.0 mi (9:17 / mi)

Was supposed to be an easy run, but instead I led off with my fastest outdoor mile in a year. Stupid, yes, and awesome too. The loss of whatever speed I had last spring has been a real bummer, so finding out yes I can string together 2 sub-10 min mi is pretty sweet. Now to turn that into 18 miles by November!

Running (Tempo) 43:50 [3] 4.0 mi (10:58 / mi)

Was supposed to be a tempo run but ended up being easy run with 1-mi pickup in the middle. Had to cut off 2 mi bc my son got up early and I had to get him settled first. Splits were 11:31, 9:11 (thought I'd die), 11:59 (including .2 mi walk to recover), 10:45 (felt almost easy after mi 2). This run reminded me that I'm not going to get any speed back by doing every run at a "take it easy, just get through it" pace. The harder efforts make my easy pace faster too. Now if I can just remember that when I'm in the middle of them..,

Trail running 50:00 [3] 3.6 mi (13:53 / mi)

Trail run on the GORC trails @ SIUE with Lindsay. Easy recovery run that didn't feel easy at all.

Trail running 1:30:00 [3] 8.3 mi (10:51 / mi)

Trail run on Lewis Trail. Not as much walking as normal. Gray and humid morning and muddy trails from previous rain, but none of the downpour on us we'd expected. Disappointing. Great run, though.
