it was very wet in Sydney Mon evening as I transited. Thankfully the pilot coped with the low visibility!
You were only a couple of miles from Monday night's sprint event, running in the rain would have prepared you for back home!
I decided it was too wet to go to the sprint on the way to the airport and then have to pack soggy running gear - but all our stuff got soaked while the bags were being loaded, anyway :(
Coming back from the South Coast we planned to go via KV, but traffic took forever to get to turn off then the road was closed because of a land-slide, so waaay too late for the sprint in the end.
Ready to move to Christchurch Charlie ? (BYO solid ground)
Hopefully the ground in Christchurch is now settling down. I can't really see myself there full time. The kids can't move education systems at this stage anyway. Plenty of work though; they're still on the demolition stage...
You could do some kind of family swap with Bill, although Janet and Susan may want a vote on that... and of course it would preclude you being in a relay team with him.
Hope the trip back was good, my fold are on their way - staying at that ship hotel in Singapore... I bet they don't build one of those on South Island.
are you predicting the next quake will be Wellington? You could well be right, but commuting from Bill's to Christchurch doesn't appeal....
Good point... although pre quake his Billness was pretty keen on Christchurch, but I guess he may have gone off it.
