Mr Wonderful:
I thought I was never going to get out. I stopped and asked some people and then it turned out I was just a few hundred yards from my car. One day I'll figure it out!

There's 17 miles of singletrack down there? Holy crap. The most singletrack I ever did was biking down to Olsen park. They even have a teeter totter. Yes, please post up routes.

Will do...it purportedly goes from bandemer, Whitmore Lake Road to Pontiac Trail through Leslie to Olsen, then back down loop through the trails from Pontiac Trail to Whitmore Lake then back to Bandemer follow the RR tracks to the right (westish I think) then you will see a couple of entrances to Barton which has some soft wide trails that eventually go long the river to the dam then loop back to Huron River Drive to a pretty good huff and puff area at Kuebler Langford Nature Area, which leads you into Bird Hills and if your legs are not burning, then into the bluffs. Then you can swoop across the road to Lakshore and pick up the paved trail even for a good little ride from the south side of Bandemer, all the way to Riverside park. Then back. There are dirt roads eastish of the river. Because I am so close to Island Lake and Maybury and dirt roads, I don't get ride in AA as much as I plan to. I think it would be great training. BTW...teeter totters are a good thing. :) Happy Christmas!
