North (Flemish/Dutch part) is flat and caractherized by sand dunes areas. South (French and German speaking part) is hilly and is called "Ardennes".
Ardennes is moderately or very hilly. It depends where you are ;-).
In fact I'm leaving in a geological special part of Belgium including some Karst areas inside the Ardennes. Few km around it's more continental but here in Nismes, it's quite rocky with some big karst depressions.
