I know my advice is not always spot on. OK, maybe more than 99% of the time it's exactly the wrong advice. It's so bad, I should be banned from even offering to give advice! I admit all that.

But this time, I am going to ask for some credit be given, because if you go back to the "background" given above, and riffle through the comments, you will see... ; )

...that you suggested that PG stand far away when telling him. Which doesn't quite sound like what he did.

A person who is wrong 99% of the time, especially when it comes to investments, is a very valuable person indeed.

By the way, this was the second standing O from the ladies in recent days. The first was for some comment about how bad the smell of smoke was from someone who had been in the main office doing insurance stuff -- something like, Boy, does it really stink of cigaret smoke in here -- which I said out loud without noticing that a client was standing there, said client actually an in-law of one of the ladies.

And this in-law smokes a ton, and her house always reeks of it, and the ladies had been wanting to complain more but never had, so rather than having put my foot in my mouth, I had done just fine.... :-)

So the question is, by next year, will he have showered? And how are you going to find that out before you decide to book an appt. with him...?

If swampfox picks the Boston Red Sox game winner 20% of the time and pg picks the winner 60% of the time, who do you hire to be your tipster?

A well-posed question, Ricka, and it reminds me of when our kids (now 23 and 16) were roughly speaking 10 and 3, and the elder said, "I can't stand it. Every time I tell him to do something he does just the opposite." And I told her, " Well, now you have all the information you need."

Even given the scenario outlined by Ricka, I wouldn't hire myself to be picking baseball games. And anyone with even half a right knuckle would be wise to refrain from doing so either! ; )

Yeah, but if you are wrong 80% of the time, you are golden!

I understand. But I wouldn't be good enough to be 80% bad.
