Agreed, anytime people from other clubs are around Ottawa in the Spring or Fall, try to hit a Sunday event, they are top notch!

They are the gold standard for local events, I think the area could support another club, on the Quebec side, doing 1 event a month in the Spring/Fall.

But no question non-local racing in Canada needs attention.

Local racing and local kids programs is critical. The idea you build a club through hosting a champs or a team trials is so wrong. Ottawa has shown how to do the local race scene, DGL has shown how to do the kids program. replicate them

Doubt much will said unless you involve Americans. Very little is discussed when it comes to Canadian orienteering. For good and bad.

Always found it bizarre that the US do their sanctioning in the open on AP, just get it done.
