Reading your log regularly, keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome.
Surgery can be really hard on the body. You think you are going to be all fixed right away, but it can take quite a bit of time.
I had eye surgery (retina) in January, and while the doc said it went well, I was disappointed that there wasn't more improvement. But the improvement came in lots of little steps, and now, 5 months later, I am just delighted.
What's important is the long term. It's really hard to not be impatient, but things need time to really heal. And that makes it really important to be gentle on yourself in the early stages.
My sense is that you're trying to be patient, but it's hard. Yup, sure is. But you're doing the right thing.
Grandpa really, really appreciates all the advice and support from all you Bridget fans. Many thanks.
Thank you Peter! Will be trying my best to ease into it all reasonably slowly for sure. The doc said it shouldn't be a hard transition, really just have to be careful with the incision site, so hopefully that is the case!
