lower back issues on and off since I was 25. I haven’t experienced it since starting with deadlifts and squats 3 years ago. Possibly a coincidence but I like the trend.
Same. Low back probs since I was a young man. I'm 100% convinced that lifting weighs is the cure - I've been through this cycle so many times. It's my least favorite type of exercise and COVID was a good excuse to slack off. I renewed my YMCA membership this morning!
I've recommended weightlifting to so many people with back probs over the years and I don't think anyone has ever taken my advice. It's counter to the traditional remedy of "rest, don't strain" and outside the mental/physical comfort zone of most people who have a bad back.
