I do that sometimes but it doesn't always get me out the door. I should try it more often though. Good for you for getting the workout done, in the rain no less!
=) Sometimes at least. The surprising thing this day is I had totally forgotten that I intended to get the run in until I saw it on my list. Usually I kinda have it in the back of my head...
