Lots of free letters out there, unless esoteric phycisists have gotten greedy. The only claimed ones I know are:
c, e, g (of course), G, h, i, j, k, and a few G(r)eek letters. Wow, the whole 2nd half of the alphabet is open for claims.
e, i, and pi have books written about them - nothing on g yet. It could be the first autobiography.
Well, we must be careful here. Physicists are familiar with both
g and
G, both of which have to do with what happens when you step on a scale, but neither of which is the same as the topic of discussion on Attackpoint.
But the value of the physicist's g depends on where the scale is - not really a constant. PG's g doesn't care if the scale is in the bathroom or in the kitchen.
But it's definitely not a constant!
It is constant to Peter an a whole lot of puzzle to worlds famous Institute of g in Laramie
And Peter, the book made me want to visit some cities in Switzerland (I did not get to Prinston part yet)
You reading it too? I hope you go a little faster. I took it out from the library for 3 weeks, made it 1/3 of the way, just renewed for another 3 weeks, would be nice to finish it by then. If I finish it at all....
It takes time; I managed to finish Harry Potter (#7), and started with Russian translation of one of Dr. Freud books, while still reading the Einstein's bio. I think the first 25 years are most exiting :)
