Quite difficult in the sand dunes. Was going well until #8, when I think I made a parallel error and got totally turned around. Finally relocated to the trail to the east but even then didn't find the control easily. And it shouldn't have been a hard control! Then ran the trail to the next control - possibly a good decision as a lot of people had trouble with it. lost 8-9 minutes on #8. Still finished as top Canadian - but a bit embarrassing as Ellen from Alaska was 9 minutes faster!
Had some dubious route choices earlier.
My time was 57:08
