Brown was plenty for today. Lots of walking, but accurate. Good with contours, using large contour features to simplify (appropriately), and good with compass, too. Easier when one is going very slowly, I suppose!

So, still had the Garmin. set to pause when I pause ... whoops. Every time I went up a steep hill, hesitated, climbed over a log ... the watch paused.

Luckily, it was a mass start, so we estimated my time. It shows that I lose 15 minutes to being slow, hesitating, climbing over logs and so forth! Mostly a clean run, but oh-so-tired. A few little errors in the circle, and one medium one standing pretty much right next to the blue streamer and not seeing it. But it wasn't an error as I knew I was in the right place!

Totally guessing at my time, as I forgot my watch.
Very tired (after only a few hours of sleep). Started after everyone else. Walked and checked on people (all doing fine ... I didn't see the ones who weren't ... I guess the way to find the people who need help is to figure out what the most likely errors are and not actually to go to the controls!). Brain not so focused, but I still love Mount Tom.
