Running long 1:15:00 [3]
shoes: Asics 2070

Awesome run from Freddy's pad in Hull in the Gats. Around the Mines and then around the Pink lake trails. Both the Pink Lake map and the Gatineau Mines map have to be updated and used soon, it's very good terrain and surprisingly open.

Running 1:00:00 [3]
slept:8.0 weight:157lbs

Run in the Gats by Keski start, just before serious rain started. Felt great, running alone, semi-lost for some of it. The Gatineau Mines map has to be updated, some really open woods because the canopy is so thick now. It would probably be a great place for butterfly loops with transportation legs inbetween. I find it rather strange that this map in the south end of the Gats hasn't been kept up to date. Of course, by not having big meets there, it could be reused for a COC festival event in 08.

Running 35:00 [2]
slept:7.0

Morning run with Freddy and Ad-Rock from the house in Hull, mostly trails by Keski start, in and around trail 15. It sucks that I'm just discovering new trails in the Gats and am about to leave town, especially from this new place I'm totally spoiled.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1]
slept:8.0 shoes: Salomon XPro Trail runners

Warming up and cooling down for the summer solstice watching the women of the Ottawa Athletic Club do intervals. They are very impressive.

Orienteering Race race 50:00 [4] ***
shoes: Salomon XPro Trail runners

Summer Solstice event at Rockcliffe, same location as Canadian Relay champs in the early 90s, whenever the magical Buckingham took place. I had a poor run, silly choices on the score-o and just didn't have the legs today, the chicken schwarma didn't sit well.

And, I've started telling people I've accepted the Alberta government job and will be heading out there by the end of the month. It was tough to turn down Toronto and Hamilton, but the job is too good in Alberta.
