New map in Schenectady Central Park. Nice work by Phil who got contours from LiDAR. Vegetation was mostly transferred from 25+-year-old fieldwork so there are some places mapped as light--and some medium--green that could be changed to white woods or at least a shade lighter than they are.
Possible 26 controls; I started out heading north to 4 figuring to go counter-clockwise and get easier (more open areas) controls and then if I had time trying for the ones in the lower right/squirrelly mountain bike trails. I probably should have gotten 10 first then gone to 4, but I was still looking at and getting into the map and figured "maybe later." I attacked #20 twice (once from 24) but never found it, though Frank said he did (and obviously Phil knew where it was too). Perhaps it would have stood out more with a more typical O flag as opposed to the small pin flags that were used. And navigationally might have been better if I'd found/used the mapped trails. ;-)

A great way to use a very public park on a summer evening. Temps were in the mid 70s so very pleasant. The pin flags were not noticeable to regular passers-by, but if you had a map with circles and descriptions you knew where to find them. :-)
Nice to see the EMPO folks! This was a great way to end our week-plus in Canada.
