Hogencamp Mountain is an awesome map. Blanket sized and excellent quality. Took this one slowly staying in contact the whole time.

Fun race on Pole Brook Mountain. Small mistake on #4 that could have been resolved with better compass work. The final controls in the campground came as a surprise and were a real challenge to navigate in the night.

Very gentle orienteering on 1:15000 map of Kingsmere. Note the contours are only 3m making the map look much steeper then it actually is. Spent a lot of time just reading the map in the terrain. Here is a snippet from the South end. I'd really like to have a whole training session with flags on this part of the map. I set a course for it last Fall but never got a chance to run it. Definitely returning to Kingsmere before the leafs come back. Next trip to the Gateau Hills I'm bringing my transparent lenses. The saplings are unfortunately rampant. This makes it very difficult to read the map while running. In actual fact this entire snippet should be covered in light green with the occasional patch of white here or there.
