I need to build my cycling base, so after finishing the run, I went out for a standard Victoria Park loop with a bidon of water. I noticed no ill effects from running first, though the running effort was so pedestrian that it shouldn't have had any consequences.
Descending the hill immediately after turning onto O'Connor feels
like this albeit with less unpleasantness to wildlife. I only achieved a top speed of 48 kph, which is disappointing - but unlike larger hills like Bayview, I feel like I'm actually contributing meaningful power and not just falling. I saw a raccoon near the end of the circuit that was imitating a bush in the shadow of a car.
