DVOA Crow's Nest - Long White
So, I wasn't totally sure about this but I needed to do something outside and figured I could bail if it was painful. This event was originally scheduled as full courses and then changed to beginner training with a shorter and longer white, with the courses open to all.
With the heat, this was plenty and while all controls were white level there were a few routes that were really more advanced and some areas where trails, especially the mown ones, didn't match up with the map. I managed to walk around the whole course, not make any errors, and not trip or otherwise jolt myself.
A week ago I was struggling to walk half a mile, so I'd call this a win and obvious sign of improvement.
After the event I went to St. Peter's Bakery for lunch and sat on the back patio listening to live music from the inn next door. I feel mentally much better after this day.
