running 50:00 [2]

Ran around the neighborhood.

other 50:00 [1]

Some NT time while watching KU v. Illinois State. It was not a pretty game.

Tuesday Nov 28, 2000 #

running 55:00 [2]

Included 10 minutes at an honest effort.

other 25:00 [1]

After running, I put some easy time in on the NT. I watched a bit of KU-Washburn on tape. Chris Piper is ok, but not as good as Bob and Max.

Monday Nov 27, 2000 #

other 45:00 [1]

Another easy day seemed wise. The Jayhawks were on TV. Time to use the NT.

Sunday Nov 26, 2000 #

cycling 55:00 [1]

My legs feel good, but they need a bit of rest. So, I did some easy cycling on the bunny loop.

Saturday Nov 25, 2000 #

orienteering 2:58:00 [4]

SLOC's 3-hour score O' at Cuivre River. I was tired the last 45 minutes. Rich Ruid beat me by 20 points (essentially one control). ST=349.

Thursday Nov 23, 2000 #

orienteering 1:30:00 [2]

Checking control locations and putting out tapes at Clinton. I also did some mapping (drawing in a new trail at a jog). ST=325.

Monday Nov 20, 2000 #

other 30:00 [1]

Took it easy. I feel like I'm getting a bit sick (again). I'll try to take it easy the next couple of days.

Sunday Nov 19, 2000 #

orienteering 1:30:00 [2]

Mary, Snorkel and I went to Wyandotte for some O' practice. Snorkel and I ran around the lake finding some controls along the way. ST=312.

Friday Nov 17, 2000 #

other 55:00 [1]

Watched the first half of the KU-North Dakota game while on the NT.

Thursday Nov 16, 2000 #

running 1:30:00 [1]

Most of this run was at the PHHS track. I can't recall running more than 2 miles on a track before. So, 70+ minutes on a track was an interesting experience. Mind numbing.

Wednesday Nov 15, 2000 #

other 30:00 [1]

Tuesday Nov 14, 2000 #

running 50:00 [1]

An easy jog around the neighborhood. I've got a light cold. I'll take it easy this week.

other 25:00 [1]

Monday Nov 13, 2000 #

other 45:00 [1]

An easy day seemed to be in order.

Sunday Nov 12, 2000 #

orienteering 45:00 [5]

PTOC meet at Monkey Mountain. I ran red and worked pretty hard. My legs didn't feel like they were going fast. ST=287.

orienteering 35:00 [2]

I jogged around the orange course. It felt pretty good. ST=297.

Saturday Nov 11, 2000 #

orienteering 50:00 [5]

PTOC event at Wyandotte. I did the red course and worked pretty hard. My legs felt yesterday's longish run -- but, I felt like I was moving well. It was cold. ST=264.

orienteering 30:00 [2]

I jogged around the orange course. I got cold while I was drawing the course. My legs felt quite dead after the first couple of controls. ST=274.

Friday Nov 10, 2000 #

orienteering 1:40:00 [1]

I jogged around at Clinton SP and hung tapes on a training course. ST=254.

Thursday Nov 9, 2000 #

other 50:00 [1]

After two days feeling bad (sore throat and sleepy), I felt fine today. Watched KU beat UCLA (99-98) while on the NT.

Tuesday Nov 7, 2000 #

other 30:00 [1]

Watching some of the KU v. Cal All-Stars game while on the NT. Legs feel ok, but I also feel like I might be getting sick. I'll take it easy for a few days and hope I'm healthy for the O' this weekend.

Sunday Nov 5, 2000 #

orienteering 1:00:00 [5]

Day 2 Red at US Champs. Ran much better than yesterday. I was orienteering reasonably well and running better. ST=230.

Saturday Nov 4, 2000 #

orienteering 1:00:00 [5]

Day 1, Red at US Champs. My run was far from good, but the course was fun. I was a bit sloppy -- definetly didn't have "flytt" today. ST=216

Friday Nov 3, 2000 #

orienteering 25:00 [3]

I ran around the US Champs "model event". ST=203

Thursday Nov 2, 2000 #

orienteering 55:00 [3]

Did some O' training at Harriman. In addition to the 55 minute course, I did another half hour or so of jogging and map walking. (ST=191)
