running 1:30:00 [2]
Easy effort but long (for me these days) and a bit hilly. I ran from home and did my April campus hilly course. I carried the map and looked at it off and on. Not enough to consider it orienteering training, but still useful and fun.
Nice weather - low 50s, light wind, sun - that most people would consider pleasant.
I felt good. Is that the last 3 runs where I've felt good? I think so. That's nice. I guess it won't last.
I saw a few students on campus taking graduation pictures. That's always fun to see.

MTB on pavement. This include a bit of adding "bicycle parking" to Open Street Map. I'd noticed a few weeks ago that bike parking was very unevenly mapped on the KU campus. So I added a few that weren't already on the map.

On the water tower park map. All on pavement. Fun.

A little time on the stationary bike before work. I watched a video of a MTB race to help pass the time.

Morning jog. Maybe the last time this season that I need a headlamp?
We had storms in the area so I checked the radar and lightning map before I went out (and once one the jog). Rain fell the entire time, but was mostly light. For about 5 minutes the wind blew quite a lot from the north. I checked the airport weather after running and gusts were up to 38 mph. I think it was an "outflow boundary."
I didn't see any other runners or any deer today. I did see a driver going very fast through a parking lot.
Also, my legs felt good again. That was a nice surprise.

After work while watching video from Viestiliiga. It helps pass the time. I've gotten as far as the end of the first leg of the men's relay.

running 40:00 [2]
Morning jog. Didn't really need the headlamp after about the first 15-20 minutes.
I saw more runners than usual out today. One group must have been KU ROTC students doing some sort of time trial. I also saw a few deer.
My legs felt good.
This caught my eye from the write up of the Swedish night champs: "Så in mot trean läste jag igen mot fyran och släppte koncentrationen lite på kontrolltagningen. Så där rann det i väg onödiga sekunder som jag i stället kunde använt till att planera sträckan. Lite osmart."
That's why I try not to plan ahead.

After work I spent some time loading up a yard waste cart. And then I hopped on the stationary bike and watched the final leg of the French sprint relay champs.
