Note
slept:8.5 (rest day)

With 8.5 of sleep I feel pretty good physically, but mentally I'm totally exhausted. Can't focus thought and just want to go back to bed.

AR race 12:00:00 [3] ***
slept:0.0

Race report to follow.

We finished in 10th of 21 teams.

A good 4 hours were spent in TA's, gear checks, etc.. I included the time becuase it's part of the race.

I weighed 163.8 on Friday morning, 164.5 on Sunday night.

Pre-race mtg from 8-9:15. Got to bed at 2. Up at 6 for a very civilized 8 AM start.

Trek 8K
Bike 45K
Trek 15K
Paddle 25K
Bike 20K
Rogaine style trek ?
Bike to finish. 35K

Interesting race experience on a really great course.

As for finish: we DQ'd because we took a forbidden route for a 1/4 mile at the very end of the race (we told Jason). So far we haven't been DQ'd.

Because of the rogaine style trek, we'll have to wait for full results to be published to figure out where we would have placed had we finished on time.

slept:2.5

Nothing like jumping right in.... 2nd day @ new job, 1st all-nighter. Some parallels to an adventure race actually, the all-nighter. A well defined challenge, some unknown terrain, and a hard deadline.

The calves took a beating at the o-meet saturday. They've been really tight with some sore spots all week.

8 floors X 2. Not sure of the time.

Did my taxes over the last few days. Went back to turbotax this year after a year of taxcut. I think I like TT better BUT: the installation of TT2008 completely wiped the install of TT2006, including the .tax files. No warning whatsoever. You'd think, given the number of years they've been producing tax software that they wouldn't make amature moves like that.

I didn't realize until the files were gone that the default location for the .tax files for TT06 was under Program Files. Another bad move by the TT dev team. How many people backup the Program Files area? Unfortunately, I don't. The .tax files are gone for good. But I do have backups of the PDF's.
