usual run to the mine. stiff and slow to start with, but then got going ok and was cruising along really well for a while - which weirdly coincided with a sharp pain in my left shoulder and neck. Then after about 15 mins of feeling great running the shoulder pain suddenly went away and my hammy tightness came back and I was plodding again.

Oy at paperback flats. Good new (old?) area. Not sure if it's part of the old Springfield map. Fairly runnable with interesting rock and erosion. Legs were heavy and the running got pretty tough. I was also not navigating confidently so weaved more than i should have. Did a dumb extra lap on 6. Overall better than the last few outings. Sore legs but no specific hammy issues.

Plan a was to go to the north end of the Brisbane valley rail trail and ride back to meet Dan and do the last bit together... but he beat me to the end by an hour. So i ended up riding from near yarraman up to the bunyas. Nice ride with some good gravel sections. The climb at the end was brutal.

Bardon park. mostly tracks. hammy/glute/back unhappy and had to walk the steeper hills. really need to spend this afternoon stretching etc, but have too much work to do, so will sit at the computer and it will all get worse....

Field checking the map for the sprint champs at uq gatton so went for a run at woodlands. Re ran a course from an event a few years ago. Hot out, but good to get some terrain time in. Tried to focus on using glutes and avoiding overloading hammies on hills. Seemed to work ok.

recovery plod. ok to start with, but hammy insertion still not happy so walked a fair bit on the way back.
cool weather has found its way north!
