Running 43:18 [2] 7.2 km (6:01 / km)

A recovery run. Very stiff calves to start, so the recovery run was good.

Thought of this upcoming New Year's Resolution - the Cruiser Bike Challenge. Basically, as H. and I live downtown, seeing how many tasks we can convert from driving to biking. I'll have to pick up some old single speeds with baskets and start a fad...

Running 2:00:11 [3] +127m
ahr:136 max:164

A warm day for shorts even - snow seems a long way away. I ran over to KIB and then made an impromptu decision to head to the S. Thompson beach. First km wasn't too great and was more of a scramble over debris piles and trying not to slip down wet silt slopes in to the river. Eventually it became quite nice. Ran the road back and looped around the golf course to add some time.

I'm going to have to be better fueled when I start running longer.

Hock-ay 1:00:00 [4]

I've slacked off for 2 days - giving myself a bit of a break. But I had some pent up energy for hockey and found I went at it pretty hard tonight.

Note

Took today off - skipping a 45min recovery run. Did some proactive icing as my shins are feeling a little tender.

Went to the touring Banff Mountain Film Festival. Felt like everybody I knew was there. The winner, for me, was the BASE jumping film. Boo to the sub-par kayaker film they put in there.

Running warm up/down 46:00 [3]

Running hills 14:00 [5]

Spinning 15:00 [3]

Pretty pathetic. We had some dinner guests that stayed late and then when I finally got on the trainer I just didn't have any more motivation.
