Discussion: Wind

It was pretty strong yesterday afternoon! A man was killed on the Radnor Trail yesterday. He was just sitting on a bench along the trail and a huge tree limb broke off and hit him. It's a very popular, short trail where a train used to run, and very popular for biking and running.

That's sad.

It wasn't as windy as Wednesday (tornadoes in MA), but sometimes gusty enough to make me pause and ask the wind gods to spare me. ;-)

Yes, it was awful. They're saying that they don't know why an apparently healthy limb (12 inches in diameter and 45 feet long!) fell, but I have to think that the wind gusts played a part, maybe just being the final straw after some other damage.
