Seems like a great performance to me! Hope they get the results straightened out....

I think you should still bring it to their attention...even if you were entered wrong, you still finished 1st in your age bracket

I did e-mail them to let them know (and have already gotten a reply from Mr. Medved himself! saying that they would fix it in the published results).

I also realize (by poking into another on line entry, for a different race, but it looked like the same format) that I most likely didn't actually enter my age, I entered my birthdate. So if it were my fault, I would have had to have entered my birthdate as 02/01/1980 instead of 02/01/1949, which seems maybe even more unlikely than entering 31 instead of 62. I don't know what could have happened, but I can hardly believe the mistake was in my data entry ... (but I can't totally rule it out, of course).

Maybe there was a hidden bug that divided your age by 2? :)

You do wonder how these things happen. Glad it's getting sorted.

Ever notice that calm communications get handled better than wild rants;-)

Consider how fun it would have been for them to have a guy shouting at them while they're trying to finish up for the day.

Congrats.

Hey - jsnyder says she was up to her mid section in the water - why weren't you?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the water part! It was at the very end of the first leg, in the pond off of Hopkin's Point, where the race started and finished. The course went out in the pond around 30 feet or so, made a right angle left turn for about 10 feet, then headed back to land. On me, the water was up to mid-thigh. I'm sure that jsnyder is somewhat shorter than I am, but not THAT much shorter, I don't think! So she may have been exaggerating just a tad when she said it was up to her midsection!

Ahem...you are also exaggerating.. we didn't venture any more than 10 ft straight out before taking a left :)

I bet it was more than 10 feet out! Maybe not 30 feet ... but something more than 10. At least it seemed like more than 10 as I was wading out into the pond!

Ahh - any time you use the word "wading" that's a bit of water;-)
