Yeah, but that would still be a 45 min 10 k if I could keep it up (which of course I can't!). 20 years ago I could do a 42+ min 10k... And that was when I didn't really train... Just to put it into perspective, the Alberta record for 10 for 55-60 women is Helly Visser in 43:53. She was still doing 44:07 at 60+. Only when she was over 65 did it drop to 49:33. (Of course the women 35yo record is 34:10, so maybe I am closer than I was all those years ago ;-)
The good thing about the Oval is that although there are tons of people blasting past you, there are also lots who are slower (even if they are just doing a recovery lap!)
And it is certainly easier than skiing!

You make me want to do a track workout! Maybe when the snow is all gone in the spring and Carl and Ethan do their track workouts, I'll join them. I used to enjoy it, though I rarely did it.
