Refried beans are like a Vegetarian eating a Kobe Steak and claiming it's Vegan.

Smushed beans are still beans. I think they count. I count hummus too.

But here's a question. What about tofu? Does tofu still have enough of the essence of beans to count toward the bean streak?

Maybe we need to call a meeting the High Council of Beans to deliberate.

I think refritos are perfectly fine in the frijoles department.

I think there should be a semblance of bean shape in the dish. Hummus can be chunky. Refried beans are definitely beanly. Tofu? Not a chance.

I think tofu counts as beans.

Ground meat is still meat. Processed meat is still meat. You don't see vegetarians eating Spam with the excuse, "Well, it's not meat, so..."

Somehow, I became yurets #1 communist. I mean, yeah, I live 2km from a 5m tall statue of Vladimir Lenin, but that's about the closest I come.
